In two groups, local agencies and hotels – all partners of Visit Faroe Islands Meetings – learned how to attract meeting business by better presenting their products at trade fairs and how to include sustainable initiatives in the Faroe Islands in their programmes and offers.

The workshops were conducted by the German Marketing Expert Siegfried Haider, who facilitated and coached the participants to come up with amazing brand claims by themselves – through well reflected and entertaining methods resulting in a strong identification with their islands and work brand.
Johanna Fischer, advisor for development and communication of sustainable meetings strategies, pointed out the need to identify with and expand knowledge around strategic SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in the islands to ad value for clients and the destination.
The workshops were organized by Visit Faroe Island Meetings and help to raise performance when presenting the destination products to meeting organizers in various markets.
As you can see in the pictures below, intensive work and collaboration in groups does not exclude having fun! And with the fantastic new brand claims, event business will be attracted to create meaningful connections and successful meetings in the unordinary Faroe Islands!
