Vilnius continues to strengthen its reputation among international planners as an affordable and versatile destination. This past month, Vilnius may have made its big break in regards to public interest in the city as a vacation hotspot.
The City Costs Barometer, released by the UK Post Office, is a collection of comparative cost analysis data from 36 European cities. The Barometer measures costs for short trips know that have a short travel time from the UK.
According to the City Costs Barometer, a Vilnius weekend getaway would only cost €160 (£139.48)! This price includes a meal for two with wine, beverages, accommodation, sightseeing and transport. Of course any bargain is great, but Vilnius is so much more than just resonable prices!
Vilnius is a unique city with a mixture of European architecture and free open green spaces. From visiting the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or ballooning above the city for amazing views, everyone will find the perfect activity.
