The 1st Islands Water Congress focuses on Fresh Water in Islands contexts and will take place September 4 – 6, 2024
Visit Faroe Islands Meetings is happy to announce that the first Islands Water Congress of IWRA (International Water Resources Association) will take place in the Faroe Islands. The congress marks the beginning of a new series of IWRA events and will take place every two years on different islands.
For the first edition, IWRA have partnered with the Faroese Geological Survey (Jarðfeingi) and the theme of the first edition will be “Freshwater and Islands: Administration, Collaboration and Innovation“
The hosting team of Jarðfeingi, the Faroese Geological Survey have recently attended the 18th IWRA World Water Congress in China where they had the chance to engage with around 2700 participants both through a special island’s session, but also at the closing ceremony where the 1st Islands Water Congress was promoted and the video was shown.
The call for papers is open until November 30, 2023.
