Latvia for International Congresses and Conferences
Both the Latvian capital of Riga but also the second-tier cities of the country are very active in organizing cultural and music events and all kinds of interesting festivals. And they are all smart in building nice offers for corporate groups in combination with their locations and events.
The smaller and may be less known cities in Latvia have developed their infrastructure in recent years and outside of Riga there are now 4 halls in different cities ready to welcoming international events or (corporate) groups.
Smaller cities in Latvia are not over-crowded and over-priced as many other destinations. Context between locally existing knowledge and the objectives of corporate programs can easily be created and new ideas and services are blooming — off the usual track and with much inspiration given.
New conference venues in the capital Riga are opened in 2019/2020 (information will soon follow here) and the 4 largest venues /halls in Latvia are also equipped for all kinds of events. They are in Liepaja on the West Coast (with own airport), in Rezekne and in Cesis — both cities are well accessible from the capital Riga. The 4th just opened end of July– the concert hall “Latvia” in Ventspils in the North-western part of Kurzeme in Latvia.
The new Latvian Convention Bureau is building up a program with local knowledge ambassadors in the main fields of research and business in the country and to connect with international associations. First international congress business has been confirmed!
So the destination Magnetic Latvia is ready to work with international congresses — it is very conveniently located between East and West, easily accessible through Air Baltic from many international destinations.
