BOE 2018, the international Trade Show for experience marketing in Germany, is just around the corner. 6 more days to go for BOE which is being held at Dortmund, Germany on 10-11 January 2018. A full comprehensive range of products related to the MICE industry are featured and displayed here. These include not only AV technology, safety, stage construction and equipment, congress software, event catering, decoration and furniture, but also recycling, human resources, waste disposal issues and more.
Here’s the low down on all the things to watch out for in BOE this year:
Key Focus: Catering
BOE has chosen catering as one of its key themes this year at the tradeshow. As part of BOE, there are two important catering events lined up this year. First is the ‘Street Food Congress Europe 2018’ which will take place on 9th and 10th of January 2018 in the congress center of the Westfalenhallen Dortmund. The second one is ‘Culinary Stage’ which will take place on 10th and 11th January 2018 in hall 5 at BOE.
Key Focus: Event Security
BOE deals extensively with the topic of security and has chosen “Event Security” as the second key theme for 2018. For this forum, the BOE 2018 cooperates with the Federal Association for Event Security (bvvs) and the Association for Media and Event Technology (VPLT). In addition to the classic security topics, the equally important topics such as “legal conformity” and “compliance” are dealt with – the Forum points to the great importance of the two areas. The SAFETY & SECURITY FORUM has set clear goals for itself: better safety awareness in school, education and study, and among operators, organizers, service providers and visitors. (Please find the full program of the Safety & Security Forum here)
Digital Forum
In order for the German event and trade fair industry to take better initiative in digitalization and not remain stuck in midfield, the BOE is intensively promoting the digitalization development and therefore hosting the Digital Forum for the second time in 2018 after last year. Professional speakers and experts share their knowledge on a variety of topics ranging from events under the influence of social media, current digitalization trends in event marketing, to lectures on virtual and augmented reality. The full program overview of the DIGITAL-FORUM on the stage in hall 7 of the Westfalenhallen Dortmund is available here.
Other forums include the MICE-FORUM, the CAREER HUB, ACTS ON STAGE, the details of which can be found on the respective links.
The BOE is keeping up with the fast paced digital media trends and reporting LIVE from the venue. You can catch all the happenings at BOE live through the following links:
With such a strong and happening event program lined up, it would be a pity to miss out on this exhibition for anyone related to the experiential industry. So make sure to secure your participation and make the best of BOE!
