The well-known Condé Nast Traveler magazine published a list naming Europe’s smallest countries and their wealth of experience they have to offer for travelers.
One of these countries is undoubtedly the Faroe Islands, being located halfway between Norway and Iceland. Visitors will find there many opportunities that take them to the waters, like fishing expeditions, whale watching trips and birding tours. On dry land, you can take a hike to view puffins or pay a visit to a traditional farm or blacksmith.
Other small and beautiful countries: the Åland Islands with more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in Scandinavia, gorgeous meadows and forests, and sandy beaches. Andorra with its splendid mountain views, ski resorts, spas, and duty-free shopping as well as Malta, Vatican City, Liechtenstein, San Marino and Monaco.
